Getting Ready

Waxing Preparation Tips

Let the hair grow to about 5mm, roughly the length of a grain of rice. If you usually shave, allow 3 to 4 weeks and skip trimming before your visit.
Exfoliate gently 1 to 2 days before, but not on the day.
Arrive with clean skin and no moisturiser, oil or body cream on the area.
Stop retinol and other retinoid creams on the area 5 days before, and skin peels or acid exfoliants 7 days before.
Let us know if you have sunburn, broken skin, a rash or irritation in the area, or have taken prescription acne tablets in the last 6 months.
Avoid shaving between appointments so the hair grows back evenly.

After Your Visit

Waxing Aftercare Tips

For 24 hours, skip hot showers, baths, saunas, spas and swimming.
Leave the gym and sweaty workouts for 24 hours.
Wear loose cotton clothing for the rest of the day.
Keep the area out of the sun and solarium, and hold off on fake tan, for 48 hours.
Use only fragrance free products on the area for 48 hours.
From day 3, exfoliate gently two or three times a week to help prevent ingrown hairs.
Some redness is normal and usually settles within a day. If it lasts more than 2 days, let us know.
