Bikini and Brazilian Waxing for Different Levels of Coverage

Bikini, G-String and Brazilian waxing are the same treatment at different levels of coverage. Most people choose by the swimwear or underwear they like to wear and how much hair they want left: a bikini wax keeps the line tidy, a G-String wax suits high cut swimwear, and a Brazilian suits anyone who wants little or no hair left. The table below shows exactly what each option covers.

Standard Bikini Wax Tidies the bikini line, removing hair that shows outside regular briefs. $21 · 15 minutes.

G-String Wax A higher, deeper line for high cut briefs and swimwear; the centre and back are left as they are. $29 · 20 minutes.

Standard Brazilian Wax Removes hair underneath and at the back, leaving a neat strip or small shape at the front. $59 · 35 minutes.

Full Brazilian Wax Removes all hair from front to back. $69 · 40 minutes.

Getting Ready

Preparing For Your Brazilian Or Bikini Wax

Aim for about 5mm of growth, roughly a grain of rice, which is usually 3 to 4 weeks after shaving. Leave longer hair for your therapist to trim rather than cutting it yourself.
Stop shaving the bikini area once you have booked, and avoid shaving between appointments so the hair grows back evenly.
A gentle scrub on the bikini line 1 to 2 days before helps lift trapped hairs. Skip it on the day.
Shower before you come in, and leave moisturiser, oil and deodorant off the area.
Wear loose, breathable clothing and cotton underwear, since tight jeans or activewear rub on freshly waxed skin.
Give retinol, acids and peels on the bikini area a 5 to 7 day break, and tell us when you book if the skin is sunburnt, broken or irritated, or you have taken prescription acne tablets in the last 6 months.
If it is your first wax, let your therapist know. The first appointment is usually the most uncomfortable, and it tends to get easier as regrowth comes back finer.

After Your Visit

Aftercare, Redness And Ingrown Hairs

Redness, small bumps and tenderness are normal straight after and usually settle within a day. If redness lasts more than 2 days, let us know.
Wear loose cotton underwear for the rest of the day to cut down on friction.
Leave hot baths, spas, saunas, swimming and the gym for 24 hours.
Keep fake tan, solariums and perfumed products off the area for 48 hours.
From day 3, exfoliate the bikini line gently two or three times a week and moisturise daily to help prevent ingrown hairs.
If an ingrown hair appears, do not pick at it. A warm compress and gentle exfoliation usually help it free.

01 What’s the difference between a Standard Brazilian Wax and a Full Brazilian Wax?

02 Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

Most people stay smooth for around 3 to 4 weeks. Booking every 4 to 6 weeks, in line with your hair growth, keeps the regrowth even.

04 Can I have a Brazilian or bikini wax on my period?

Yes. Please wear a tampon or menstrual cup, and keep in mind your skin can feel a little more sensitive that week.
